Tenderness4Life Self-Assessment tool was originally developed and tested by the project Consortium.
The questionnaire can be considered as a mechanism for identifying one’s own weaknesses and strengths, it can determine the learning needs and provide insight into an individual’s thoughts, feelings, and emotions toward elderly patients.
This tool can help formal caregivers to identify their behavior and in the end make decisions that may benefit both, the caregiver and the elderly person. Besides the evaluation of the “humanistic care competences” needed in the elderly care process, the Tenderness4Life partnership also acknowledges that there may be educational benefits simply by the process of self-reflection.
Tender4Life project aims to promote the professional development of low skilled adults working in elderly care settings, by providing them with a complementary and alternative curriculum, based on a humanistic approach.
