  • Job responsibilities Including (but not limited to):

    • To ensure that the day-to-day running of the bars operates in an efficient and professional manner with a high level of customer satisfaction.
    • To ensure that the venue is operating within the limits of it’s licence at all times and to be the point of contact for any visits from Licencing/EHO/Police etc.
    • To ensure the music and lighting levels in venue are correct at all times.
    • To order and manage stock effectively.
    • To rota and manage current staff and to trial and hire new staff when necessary.
    • To ensure staff are trained with regards to cash handling and till use.
    • To float tills, do safe checks and to cash up and bank revenue.
    • To ensure staff are well trained and conversant with our menu and specials.
    • To maintain the venue and ensure guest and staff safety
    • To report daily to senior management team regarding trade, maintenance and bookings.
    • To order wet stock, dry stock, glassware etc for the bar
    • To log any incidents which take place in venue
    • To liaise with security staff regarding the running of the venue
    • To follow all health and safety regulations
    • To suggest ideas to improve the venue performance
    • To maintain a safe work environment at all times.
    • To follow the work schedule provided and review upcoming events.
    • To upsell the venue’s facilities at every opportunity which will improve guest satisfaction and maximise revenue.
    • To ensure all bookings have an appropriate area reserved, taking requests into account as much as possible, and to have all pre-orders ready for bookings.
    • To be aware of the procedure regarding deposits/authentications for table reservations, function room and full venue hires.
    • All posters checked throughout the venue for relevance and any missing, changing where needed.
    • To monitor the control of perishable goods, breakages and all types of stock to minimise wastage and control stock levels.
    • To communicate all relevant information to staff within the venue.
    • To ensure lost property kept safely in venue and is recorded in a logbook.
    • To ensure that cleanliness and hygiene of work areas, equipment, appearance and uniform of all staff is always of a high standard and within the company guidelines as stated in the staff handbook.
    • Privacy and confidentiality of customers is to be respected at all times.
    • Security of the venue and of guest property is to be maintained with any suspicious circumstances to be reported to your Manager immediately.
    • To send EOW report and hours/holiday to payroll.
  • Essential Skills and Qualities Including (but not limited to):

    • High level of professionalism.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • A dedication to providing a high level of customer service.
    • Previous bartending and management experience is essential, and qualifications would be desirable.
    • Excellent cocktail bartending skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and management skills.
    • Calm and collected under pressure.
    • A passion for great cocktails.
    • A good command of spoken English to provide a professional and personable service.
