Willow Weave a Catalan willow tray with rustic handle, 1pm - 5pm: During this workshop you will make a Catalan willow tray, so called because this construction originated in the Spanish region of Catalonia. All tools and willow will be provided, and you will be guided through by Sarah, a very experienced and fun tutor.
Learn to draw from Nature: Illustrating flowers and plants, 1-6pm = This course will introduce you to the basics of drawing plants and beautiful wild flowers from life, and covers plant structure, using pencil, and drawing darks and lights. Lizzie is a professional botanical illustrator, and will be on hand throughout the session to encourage, teach, and give you hints and tips on drawing techniques.
Walking Inspiration; a little amble around the grounds, approx 1-4pm
Needle felt a Hare or Badger or Fox, large 3D, 10am - 5pm: you can choose a full or half day course. Emma, a highly experienced tutor and artist, will be making learning fun, as you create a sculpture from local wool and barbed needles. All materials and resources provided.

Cookery demonstration and lesson, 10am - 12.30pm; Gliffaes chef, Karl Cheetham, will be teaching a fantastic lesson for you - the details will be released nearer the time, as Karl will be choosing seasonal ingredients.
Leather Working: design and make a leather pouch or case 10am - 12.30pm: choose both sessions for a full experience, or drop in during the afternoon.

Chris Wold; How To Survive 20 Years In Books – and still love reading = workshop 2 - 5 pm: An avid reader who manages to get through more books in one week than most of us might in a year, this is your chance to ask him anything you might want to know about the industry, the business, and books.
Wool Workshop: knit chunky cushion, or peg loom weave small rug, 10am - 12.00pm: Helen will run these classes at the same time, so you can choose to do both workshops over the course of the day, or just one, either morning or afternoon.

Lino-printing on fabric, , 10am - 12.00pm: Rachel will be running a lino printing on fabric workshop. You have the choice to either stay for half a day and print a smaller piece like a purse, travel bag or water bottle carrier or a full day and take away a lovely bag or silk scarf (click both sessions for the latter option)

Painting workshop - painting for pleasure, 10am - 3.30pm: The morning session will begin with a slide show featuring examples of flower based art followed by a short demonstration of brushwork and paint application by the tutor. Students will then have the opportunity to study and draw individual flowers and experiment with different styles of painting. During the afternoon students will paint on canvas board with acrylic paint and produce a unique piece of artwork to take home.
How to write a killer proposal - writing workshop with the Amazing Adele Nozedar! 1.30 - 3.30pm: Publishers do not have the time to read every single manuscript that lands on the tottering heap or fills up their inbox. So you need to know how to present your idea in as convincing a way as possible. Adele will teach you how to do this in a fun and interactive workshop, the techniques of which which she cannot guarantee will be easy, but which she has found to be highly effective!
Spoon carving workshop 10am-12.00pm: choose one session, and you will learn how to craft your own wooden spoon from a log, using simple tools and traditional techniques. You will be taught how to safely carve with an axe, straight knife and spoon hook, to make a spoon to your own design. Various decorating methods will be shown to finish the spoon.
