PensionDanmark is a non-profit labor market pension fund that serves 738,000 members and is one of the 50 largest pension funds in Europe with currently EUR 34bn under management.
Private Debt is a part the Alternative Investments team and covers illiquid credit investments which is a significant priority area for PensionDanmark. Private Debt represents a substantial growth area with large and complex international transactions. The investments in Private Debt are focusing on project finance, structured credit, corporate and leveraged loans as well as credit funds. The direct investments can be in structured products as well as loans in national and international M&A transactions. The fund investments cover a broad scope within illiquid credit and are driven by the objective to obtain the most efficient access to selective investment opportunities.
As Senior Analyst you will become a part of a growing and successful team with 4 highly motivated, competent and supportive colleagues with backgrounds in corporate finance, transaction services, leveraged loans, and fund investments. You will work broadly with illiquid credit investments with a focus on fund investments and structured credit as well as co-investments alongside top tier global investment managers. You will gain experience across Private Debts investment areas which include direct investments in M&A transactions and infrastructure in addition to investments in private funds and structured products. Together with the team, your job is to participate in screening, prioritization and due diligence of investment opportunities which will include fundamental credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk-return analysis. Furthermore, you will participate in process coordination with advisors, partners etc., and develop internal investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee. Research, monitoring and portfolio management will also be your key responsibilities.
PensionDanmark is looking for a candidate with a strong drive and analytical mindset. It is a clear benefit but not requisite if you have a credit background and a solid understanding of financial markets. Additionally, you have a Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent, with good academic credentials. We also expect that you have 2-4 years of experience from a leading bank, pension fund, asset manager or an advisory function. Furthermore, you are detail-oriented and manage to work structured and deliver high quality results. You possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a “can do”-attitude that thrives in a work environment with competing priorities and short deadlines. It is also important that you are highly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint and confident in written and spoken English.
