The Use of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) as a Treatment Option for Chronic Pain & Pain in Inflammatory/Autoimmune Conditions
The seminar will examine the specific conditions for which LDN has been shown to be an effective, non-opioid, treatment option for patients experiencing moderate to severe pain, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Fibromyalgia, Neuropathies, Back Pain, and Autoimmune Disease. In addition, LDN’s unique ability to control pain in opioid-dependent patients, and assist in the tapering and elimination of opioids, will be reviewed. A comprehensive review of the History, Pharmacology and Mechanism of action of Low Dose Naltrexone and Ultra Low Doses well as the clinical experience gained from the treatment of LDN patients, to form the clinical indication specific dosing guidance and titration protocols which are essential to achieving therapeutic success for patients.
Pharmacists from CareFirst Specialty Pharmacy, Colonia Pharmacy and Wayne Pharmacy and Robinson Drug & Compounding Center will be available to answer questions on Ultra / Low Dose Naltrexone (ULDN & LDN) and drug interactions before and after the event.
