Are you ready for the second edition of the now legendary Midsummer Viking Challenge?
Sign up now and book your team's spot for the 2020 edition that will take place on Saturday and Sunday June 20-21 again in Copenhagen, Denmark.
We're limited to 60 teams - so secure your spot now and fill in your team members later.
Just like the first edition in 2019, each team will consist of three to five paddlers in this unique 24-hour team relay challenge. It will be up to each team to decide how often they will switch between their paddlers, with the goal to paddle as many kilometers as possible in 24 hours. The course will feature an approximately five-kilometre-long lap around the artificial Copenhagen island of Amager Strandpark with nice flat water in the inside lagoon and the slightly choppy waters of Øresund on the outside.
We learned a lot from the 2019-edition of the Midsummer Viking Challenge.
One thing is that we need to increase the entry fee from 1.000 DKK to 1800 DKK (approx 240 euro) pr. team to cover direct expenses on food, accommodation and safety service. But if you sign up before August, 1., you'll get a discount of 300 DKK.
There will be goodie bags, great prizes, a lounge to chill in and a lot of other cool features. Based on our experiences this year, we strive to deliver an event with all the same features and characteristics that you loved. But we also dream of taking the concept up another notch where possible. But more about that later :) For now, get your team ready and like we promissed this year: It's gonna be a ton of fun!!
Midsummer Viking Challenge is brought to you by Casper Steinfath in cooperation with the Danish Surfing and Rafting Federation and Kajakhotellet.
